The Messiah and the Psalms

March 4, 2008

If you are looking for a Christological take on the Psalter then The Messiah and the Psalms by Richard P. Belcher may be the book for you.

Belcher demonstrates that not just the traditional Messianic psalms relate to Christ but rather all psalms relate to either the person (humanity and deity) or work of Christ (prophet, priest, king). He lays a foundation for that approach and then goes through several different types of psalms illustrating how they relate to Christ offering advice on how to preach Christ from the psalms.
