Die Psalmen: Psalm 51-100

April 1, 2009

Being a rather daring chap I decided to bite the bullet and buy volume 2 of Hossfeld and Zenger’s commentary on the Psalms. The aim being to kill two birds with one stone, i.e. (1) learn German, (2) deepen my understanding of Psalms 51-100.

This commentary has been published in English by Hermeneia. You should have bough Pss. 1-50, as they will no doubt remain unstranslated.

The problem with Hermenia I find is the price tag, plus this vol has my favourite Psalms in. 😉

Do you know of a good German dictionary which will have the more complex theological terms in?
