Sir, I am a student working on an assignment. My task is to do the following: (1)Consult several other scholarly sources to compare the listing of genres that other Old Testament scholars have listed. Place my findings on a summarizing chart noteing the differences and similarities between the different introductions. (2) List several of the Psalms and compare their form (genre) with their content. If you could help me that would be great. Thank you.

Hi Robert, I’d start with this guide to Gunkel’s classification. H-J Kraus also provides a good guide on classifying psalms and their content. John Collins also provides a guide in his introduction to the OT.
